KEPCO E&C bagged the KRW 5 billion KCMS Implementation for Cable Design project ordered by international organization ITER on December 10. As a program developed by KEPCO E&C, KCMS has various functions such as database construction for cable design, purchase, and construction support. It is widely used in Korea’s new and existing nuclear power plant design. This order is meaningful as seven ITER member countries have recognized KEPCO E&C’s capability through the company’s successful performance of cable engineering support services since 2012 and the excellent features of the KCMS program. “KEPCO E&C plans to secure technologies in nuclear fusion demonstration/commercial reactors and support the government’s policies for collaborative cooperation with SMEs and carbon-neutral policy actively by continuing to participate in engineering services, equipment supply, and trial runs for ITER projects,” said Park Beom-seo, head of the Nuclear Division of KEPCO E&C. |
