KEPCO E&C conducted the special education of executives and heads of major departments to prevent conflicts of interest at its headquarters in Gimcheon on October 5.

This education is designed to ensure integrity in workplaces by strengthening awareness and understanding of the "Conflict of Interest Prevention Act," which will take effect on May 19 next year.

The education began with a lecture by lawyer Baek Ji-eun, KEPCO’s citizen auditor for integrity. After the lecture, all executives vowed to carry out their duties as public officials fairly and transparently by signing the Conflict-of-Interest Practice Pledge in relay.

Moreover, KEPCO E&C is operating the "intensive emphasis period for integrity ethics" for about a month from September 13 to October 8 to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the enforcement of the Anti-Solicitation Act.

During the intensive emphasis period, various participatory programs are prepared such as daily checklist of integrity practice, SNS quizzes participated in by the public, and integrity ethics campaigns in addition to the oath of pledge by all employees to prevent conflict of interest, in order to internalize employees' awareness of integrity and spread it internally and externally.

"We will continue taking the initiative and setting examples to lead a clean corporate culture. As ethical management of public institutions is emphasized more, we will become a consistently trusted company with transparent and fair work performance," KEPCO E&C CEO Kim Sung-arm vowed.
